Georgia celebrated the opening win at the international friendly tournament in Antibes. They defeated Serbia for 1-0 record. Georgia will now take on France for the trophy tomorrow. Serbia suffered the second straight loss at the tourney. Viktor Sanikidze (203-F-86) finished with 19 points to lead the winners. Serbia dominated the game in the first half. They gained a 17:14 lead after ten minutes. The Balkan team stretched the gap in the second quarter. Serbia accumulated a 42:27 halftime lead. But Georgia turned things upside down in the third frame. They triggered a 26:10 run to take a one-point lead before the fourth period. Georgia fired 22 points in the final stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Georgi Tsintsadze (192-PG-86) dropped 17 points, while Manuchar Markoishvili (196-SF-86) finished with 11 points for the winners. Nenad Krstic (212-C-83) answered with 14 points for Serbia. Danilo Andjusic (195-G-91, agency:Interperformances) had 13 points in the loss.
